From design to dispatch

Made by hand, checked at every stage

Every BLOOMING LOOM rug begins as a design and the materials chosen to bring it to life. In Bhadohi, each piece then moves through hands-on stages of making and finishing, with people working the loom, the knots, and the shears.

This is the traditional rug-making standard we bring to every order, from the first yarn to the final inspection before shipping.

Nine stages

How a rug is made

01

Design development

A design is translated into a working plan, including CAD drafts for custom sizes, shapes, colors, and patterns.

02

Yarn selection

Wool, silk, cotton, and jute yarns are chosen for the pile, hand, and durability each rug requires.

03

Dyeing

Yarns are dyed to the approved palette, with colors checked before weaving begins.

04

Hand weaving, tufting, and knotting

Trained artisans work each rug by hand on the loom, tufting gun, or knotting frame, according to its technique.
